Lewis Clark Wines Make Seattle Times Top 50 List
Three Lewis Clark Valley wineries took three of the top 50 spots on Seattle Times Top 50 regional wines of 2016 list. Kudos go to our local winemakers who are making our region known for producing top quality wine.
Clearwater Canyon Cellars 2014 Phinny Hill Vineyard carménère, Washington, $28: The Northwest’s rising star of winemaking lives in Lewiston, Idaho, and her name is Coco Umiker.
Colter’s Creek Winery 2013 Arrow Rim red, Idaho, $25: This Southern Rhône Valley-style blend from Idaho’s Lewis-Clark Valley is one of the best wines from the Gem State — and the Pacific Northwest.
Basalt Cellars 2013 GSM, Columbia Valley, $36: This Southern Rhône-style blend from a small winery in Clarkston is sublime yet firm.
Thank you, Andy Perdue of Great Northwest Wine, for highlighting the Lewis-Clark Valley wines and AVA.
